Component Search

Find any part number or manufacturer across every BOM you own, in milliseconds.

The Search page lets you find a single MPN or manufacturer anywhere in your portfolio. Useful for "do we use this part anywhere?" questions when a supplier issues a PCN or a part gets sanctioned.

How to use it

  1. Click "Search" in the sidebar (or press / anywhere in the app).
  2. Start typing an MPN or manufacturer name — results appear after 2 characters.
  3. Results show the BOM, quantity, current score, severity, and last-assessed date.
  4. Click any row to jump to that component in the BOM detail view.

Filtering

The pill row at the top lets you narrow by severity (All / Critical / High / Medium / Low). Useful when you're hunting for "all my high-risk MLCCs" — search "MLCC", then click "High".

Search syntax

GRM
Matches any MPN starting with GRM (Murata MLCCs).
STM32F4
Matches the STM32F4 microcontroller family.
Murata
Matches by manufacturer.
STM AND F407
AND is implicit between space-separated terms.

Search is local to your account — it doesn't hit the global catalogue. So if a part isn't in any of your BOMs, it won't show up. To check the catalogue, just attempt to upload a single-line BOM with the MPN.
